Eben Mannell is a young and ambitious writer and filmmaker who sometimes worries that everyone can hear his thoughts. He likes clothing and walking and obsessing over people’s perception of him. He has been listening to a lot of Philip Glass recently, and thinks that The Art of Self-Defense (2019) is an underrated movie. He is interested in beauty and ugliness and tragedy and comedy, but is always in the dogged pursuit of some sort of truth, often unspoken, scarcely literal.
